Bishkek hosted workshop of Commission on Economic Cooperation

On April 18, 2024, the workshop titled “Trade missions as mechanisms for mutual strengthening of trade and economic relations in TURKPA member states and opportunities for their effective use” hosted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek. The workshop organized within the framework of the 11th Meeting of the Commission on Economic Cooperation was attended by parliamentarians, experts, representatives of government bodies and public organizations of the TURKPA member countries.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Anas Bakkozhaev, Chairman of the Commission, member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in online format), Cholpon Sultanbekova, Vice-Chair of the Commission, member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Mehmet Süreyya Er, TURKPA Secretary General.

In the course of the workshop, Nadir Sultanov, Head of the Property Law Sector of the Economic Legislation Department of the Apparatus of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, Meruert Abdigalieva, Deputy Director of the Department of trade and economic development of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in online format), Tolkunai Taalaibekova, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ercan Durdular, Legislative Specialist of the Department on Foreign Affairs and Protocol of the Secretariat of the TURKPA Parliamentary Group of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye made reports, as well as Tilek Zhumaliev, Deputy Director of the Center for export promotion and development “Kyrgyz export” under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hüseyin Koç, Trade Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bishkek shared their presentations and gave information about the system of trade missions in own countries. The participants shared their experiences and exchanged opinions on the mechanisms of the use of trade missions to improve the trade and economic relations of the member countries.

The workshop moderated by Bauyrzhan Datkayev, Secretary of the Commission, concluded with final evaluations.
