International parliamentary conference Legislative Support for an Economy of Innovation took place in Astana
The international parliamentary conference Legislative Support for an Economy of Innovation organised by the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana on 22nd of June 2017. The event was held with the aim to promote the goals and objectives of the EXPO-2017 Astana International Exhibition dedicated to renewable and alternative energy sources.
Parliamentarians, diplomats and experts from Finland, Lithuania, France, Korea, Germany, Iran, Italy, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Poland, Russia, USA and other countries participated in the conference. Topical issues were discussed within the two thematic sessions: “Green economy: Modern trends and development prospects at the global and national levels” and “Innovation as the most significant factor of increasing the competitiveness of economy: international experience”.
MPs from TurkPA member parliaments Mr IlhamAlivev (Azerbaijan) and Mr Feyzullah Kiyiklik (Turkey) made speeches at the first session of the conference titled “Green economy: Modern trends and development prospects at the global and national levels” and talked about the potential of the TurkPA member countries in developing of green economy and future prospects of cooperation on renewable and alternative energy sources.
