Turkic cooperation institutions gathered at TURKPA Secretariat
The Fourth Coordination Meeting of TURKPA, Turkic Council, TURKSOY, Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and Turkic Academy was held on 8 February 2018 in Baku at the TURKPA Secretariat. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of Turkic Council Mr. Ramil Hasanov, the Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Duisen Kaseinov, the President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Ms Gunay Afandiyeva and the Permanent Secretary of Turkic Academy Mr. Askhat Kessikbayev.
Secretary General Mr. Mamaiusupov in his capacity of the meeting’s moderator briefed the participants about TURKPA’s activities for the 2017, as well as on the forthcoming plans and projects scheduled for 2018.
Representatives of the Turkic cooperation organisations presented information on their last activities and have come to an agreement on improving coordination work and exchange of information among the Secretariats.
The parties also agreed on such issues as joint celebration of significant events, including the 10th anniversary of TURKPA, 25th anniversary of TURKSOY, 100th anniversary of ADR and 90th anniversary of prominent writer of Turkic world Chingiz Aitmatov.
It was decided that the next Fifth coordination meeting would be hosted by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in Azerbaijan in 2018.
