Azerbaijani MFA organized visit to Gubadly and Zangilan

On 10 December 2022, Deputy Secretary General Nooruzbek Arstanbekov participated in the visit to Gubadly and Zangilan regions organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

About 150 participants, including representatives of nearly 70 embassies based in Baku and Ankara, of over 10 international organizations, ambassadors, military attachés, as well as representatives of relevant governmental agencies of Türkiye took part in the visit.

The guests became acquainted with the Zangilan International Airport that was officially opened on 20 October of the current year by the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

During the visit, a briefing was held on the activities done and upcoming plans within the framework of the 1st State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories.

Following the briefing, the participants were informed about the environmental damage and destruction in liberated territories, and the ongoing restoration and reconstruction work, including the new mosque built by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as the first residential building, a school and other projects carried out in Zangilan.

The foreign visitors also were informed about the "Smart village" project, village infrastructure, Archimedes turbine type Hydroelectric Power Station at the Aghaly village of Zangilan.
