On 28 December 2022, the first meeting of the experts group on the elaboration of the draft Model Law “On Protection of Reproductive Health” was held in an online format within the framework of the TURKPA Commission on Environment, Natural Resources and Health Protection.

Experts from the parliaments and relevant ministries of the member states, as well as representatives of the TURKPA Secretariat participated in the meeting.

The meeting was opened by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov and moderated by Secretary of the Commission on Environment, Natural Resources and Health Protection Mr. Emin Hasanov. Firstly, the draft Model Law was presented by Mr. Adil Valiyev, Head of the Social Legislation Department of the Apparatus of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following the presentation, the experts from the member states expressed their opinions and suggestions on the matter.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to hold the next second meeting in an online format on 23 January 2023.
