On 21 February 2023, delegation of the Baku Branch of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) led by Aydin Jafarov, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS, visited the Secretariat and met with the diplomatic staff members.

Mr. Jafarov offered his condolences over the loss of lives in the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured. Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er expressed gratitude to Mr. Jafarov for the messages of support.

During the meeting, Mr. Jafarov stressed that IPA CIS attaches particular importance to the cooperation of the two organizations.

He also introduced newly appointed director of IPA CIS IIMDD Baku Branch Ramil Rzayev. In his turn, Mr. Rzayev expressed the will of the Baku Branch for close cooperation with TURKPA.

The parties exchanged views on the experience exchange and further advancement of cooperation between the organizations.
