Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er attended the 55th Plenary Session of the interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) took place on 14 April 2023 in Saint Petersburg.

Parliamentary delegations of the IPA CIS member countries, as well as representatives of various international organizations took part at the Plenary Session.

The main topic of the Plenary Session was “Improvement of the Legal Framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Field of Ecology and Environmental Management”. The agenda covered the adoption of reports and recommendations and several model laws prepared by IPA CIS permanent commissions in their respective fields of activity.

The 55th Plenary Session ended with the presentation of awards and was followed by a press conference of the members of IPA CIS Council.
