Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er attended the ninth meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on 10 November 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The meeting was held within the framework of the 9th Summit of the OTS.

Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OTS member and observer states, as well as heads of Turkic cooperation organizations attended the event. During the meeting, the Turkish side handed over the Chairmanship to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his speech, Secretary General informed on the current and future activities of the Assembly and reaffirmed commitment of TURKPA to fulfill its responsibilities as a parliamentary dimension of Turkic cooperation.

Ministers and Deputy Ministers discussed relevant documents on the agenda and the Summit Declaration to be signed during the Summit of the Heads of State on 11 November.
