TURKPA Mission monitored early presidential election in Kazakhstan

On 20 November 2022, the TURKPA Election Observation Mission (EOM) visited a number of polling stations in Astana and Almaty to monitor voting process. The Mission observed the voting process at all stages, from the opening of polling stations till counting of votes. The Mission monitored casting of votes, talked to voters, polling stations' officials and local observers on the ground. Within the framework of its observation program, members of the Mission gave interview to local and foreign mass media.

On the next day, the Mission held press conferences on the preliminary outcomes of its observation in Astana and Almaty cities, and concluded that the early presidential election in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in compliance with the national legislation and international election standards.

On 21 November, the members of the TURKPA EOM in Almaty also visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and met with rector Zhanseit Tuymebayev. The delegation was informed on the activities of the university.
