Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er attended the 145th Assembly of the IPU and its related meetings that took place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 11 to 15 October 2022, hosted by the Parliament of the Republic of Rwanda.

Representatives of the TURKPA member parliaments participated in the largest gathering of parliamentarians of the world.

The General Debate was focused on gender equality and gender-sensitive parliaments.

Governing Council, Standing Committees, Committees on Human Rights of the Parliamentarians and on Middle East Questions, the Forums of Women and Young Parliamentarians were convened during the Assembly.

The Assembly was concluded with the adoption of outcome document on the overall theme of the General Debate.

TURKPA participates in IPU activities as an observer since 2010.
