Seventh Meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Economic Cooperation

On 8 April 2019, the Seventh Meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Economic Cooperation hosted by Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Baku and brought together parliamentarians and experts from member countries.

The main item of the meeting’s agenda was “Development of Common Technology: Multilateral Cooperation among Science and Business Communities of the TURKPA Member Countries”.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Salaidin Aidarov, member of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and Vice-Chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Economic Cooperation. Noting the importance of improvement of the legislative framework in the field of innovations in the member countries, the participants emphasized the need for further development of mutual cooperation between the institutions of the member countries dealing with innovations, as well as exchanged views on creation of favorable conditions for young entrepreneurs, advanced training of employees of scientific research institutes and introduction of new technologies in production.

The Commission approved report and recommendation on the matter to be submitted to the Ninth Plenary Session of TURKPA that will take place in 2019 in Azerbaijan.

A photo exhibition dedicated to the 10th anniversary of TURKPA was also organized in the framework of the Commission meeting.
