TURKPA delegation took part at “Ozgon-Munara-2021” ethno-folklore festival
On 17 September 2021, TURKPA delegation comprised of Members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mr. Recep Şeker (Vice-Chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Environment and Natural Resources), Mr. Sabri Öztürk (Head of Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Interparliamentary Frienship Group) and Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov took part at the international ethno-folklore festival “Ozgon-Munara-2021”, held in Uzgen, Kyrgyzstan.
The event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, took place within the framework of the "Madaniyat Munarasy" project. The program of the event included a scientific conference; exhibitions of the applied arts, local food and grocery, rice festival (Uzgen pilav) with participation of poets, folk ensembles, artists, craftsmen, professionals of national cuisines, excursions and visits to sacred places, acquaintance with the local history, culture and heritage.
Parliamentarians, government officials, heads and representatives of Turkic cooperation organizations and various institutions took part at the festival. Members of the TURKPA delegation Mr. Recep Şeker and Mr. Sabri Öztürk delivered speeches during the scientific conference held in of Uzgen Institute of Technology and Education named after Academician B. Murzubraimov.
During the evening of the same day, President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov addressed the event. Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov also delivered a speech during the evening programme.
The event was concluded with a festive gala concert.
