On 10 February 2021, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov delivered a speech at the 13th Session of GUAM Parliamentary Assembly held in an online format.
GUAM PA national delegations, as well as representatives of other regional organizations attended the event. Agenda of the Session included issues such as cooperation of the member countries in the circumstances of new global challenges, respond to COVID-19 pandemic and its negative social and economic consequences, current state and prospects of solution of conflicts in the member countries, strengthening of inter-parliamentary interaction, promotion of key economic projects of GUAM and new areas of cooperation.
In his speech, Secretary General informed the participants on the activities of the Assembly, in particular, the interaction between the member countries amid the pandemic. Mentioning the promotion of global parliamentary dialogue as one of the priority directions in the TURKPA’s activities, Mr. Mamaiusupov highlighted the great potential for developing cooperation between the two Assemblies characterized by neighbourhood of the regions that represents an additional advantage for implementing joint initiatives and projects.
