PABSEC held its 51st Plenary Session

The 51st Plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) took place on 19-21 June 2018 in Tirana under the Presidency of the Parliament of Albania.

The Plenary Session brought together parliamentary delegations of the PABSEC member countries, observer organisations to the PABSEC and guest institutions. The main topic of the session's debate was "The Parliaments of the BSEC Member States: Common Challenges of Economic, Social, Cultural and Environmental development - Reality and Vision.

Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov attended the Session in capacity of observer to the PABSEC and made a speech on the aspects of practical cooperation between the leading inter-parliamentary organisations of the Eurasian region and maintaining operational coherence among them. Secretary General also emphasized the potential for enhanced cooperation between TURKPA and PABSEC, as Turkic world is adjacent to the Black Sea region and all the countries in this geographical area took part in trans-national transport and energy projects.
