On the occasion of 20th anniversary of independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA) held conference on "THE ROLE OF WOMAN IN THE 21ST CENTURY: THE RESPONSIBILITY OF FEMALE POLITICIANS" hosted by Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Republic. Conference organized jointly with "Lider Women" Public Association, Turkish Agency of Cooperation and Development (TIKA) and "Dialog Euroasia" international organization.

The annual activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TURKPA) found to be satisfactory. "In 2010, the TURKPA was adopted in a number of international organizations as observer and member," TURKPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov said at a news conference on the results of 2010.
