The Sixth Meeting of the Commission on Environment and Natural Resources was held on 20 September 2021 in virtual format with participation of the members of the Commission and representatives of the TURKPA Secretariat.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Commission and Chair of the Committee on Healthcare of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the course of the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the main theme of “Management of water resources and land”.

he Eighth Meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations was held on 20 September 2021 in virtual format.
Members of the Commission and representatives of the Secretariat attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, Vice-Chairman of the Commission and member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants conducted discussions on the main theme “Improving tourism among TURKPA member countries: Impact of COVID-19 pandemic and future prospects”.
The Commission endorsed the report and recommendation, as well as the legal documents – draft Regulations on Model Laws, on Women Parliamentarians Group and on Young Parliamentarians Group, to be submitted to the Tenth Plenary Session of TURKPA to take place on 27-28 September 2021 in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.

On 1 March 2019, the Seventh Meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations was held in Astana and hosted by Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting brought together parliamentarians and experts from the member countries, representatives of the relevant ministries of the member countries, as well as guests from other institutions such as International Turkic Academy and Ahmet Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkic University. The main item of the meeting’s agenda was "Problems of the Equivalence Process in Higher Education in the TURKPA Member Countries".

On 20 September 2021, the Eighth Meeting of the Commission on Economic Cooperation took place in virtual format. Members of the Commission and representatives of the Secretariat took part in the meeting.
Mr. Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Commission and member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presided over the meeting. The main theme of the meeting was “Legislative support experience for the “green economy”, innovation and digitalization”.
The members of the Commission reviewed and endorsed the report and recommendation on the theme and the draft Model Law “On Electronic Commerce”, to be submitted to the Tenth Plenary Session scheduled to be held on 27-28 September 2021, in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.

On 22 April 2022, the Ninth Meeting of the Commission on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs was held in Baku and hosted by the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main item of the meeting’s agenda was “Support of social entrepreneurship in the TURKPA countries”.
The meeting that brought together parliamentarians, experts and representatives of parliaments, relevant ministries and government bodies of the member countries, as well as the representatives of the TURKPA Secretariat was chaired by Mr. Aibek Osmonov, Chair of the Commission and member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Stressing the importance of increasing the effectiveness of the promotion of social entrepreneurship in the TURKPA region, the participants noted the role that the member parliaments could play in ensuring activities to develop this public institution as an important element of sustainable growth and economic development. The participants also exchanged views on the possibilities of approximation of national legislation of the member countries in the relevant sphere.
The Commission conducted discussion and approved the report and recommendation on the matter, as well as the draft Model law “On the development of social entrepreneurship”, elaborated within the framework of the Commission, to be submitted to the Eleventh Plenary Session of TURKPA that will take place on 23-24 June, 2022 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.

On 20 September 2021, the Eighth Meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs was held in online format with participation of parliamentarians and representatives of the Secretariat.
The meeting that focused on the main theme “Social condition in rural areas of the TURKPA member countries in a pandemic situation” was chaired by Mr. Nizami Jafarov, Vice-Chairman of the Commission and member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Commission conducted discussion and approved the report and recommendation on the matter, as well as the draft model laws “On Cinematography” and “On Attracting Foreign Investments for the Production of Cinematography and Audio-visual Works”, elaborated within the framework of the Commission, to be presented to the Tenth Plenary Session to take place on 27-28 September 2021, in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
