A medical doctor. Graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine. He received his specialization in Thoracic Surgery at the same university.

Between 1990 and 2014 worked at the Gureba Hospital of the Istanbul Bezmiâlem Foundation. During this period, he served as deputy chief physician and chief physician.
