TurkPA event in Amasya

A meeting of the TurkPA Commission on Legal Issues and International Relations was held in Amasya, Turkey on 11-12 May, 2017 and it considered the issues that are on the agenda of next plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly to be held in the coming months in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The gathering was chaired by Mr Haluk İpek, Chairman of the said TurkPA commission, member of Grand National Assembly of Turkey from Amasya district, Chairman of Turkey-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Delegations lead by Sadaqat khanum Valieva, member of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan, Senator Serik Aqylbay from Kazakhstan and Baqytbek Raimkulov, member of the Joghorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, Ekrem Erdem, member of Grand National Assembly of Turkey as well as the staff-members of TurkPA Secretariat lead by Secretary General Jandos Asanov participated in the gathering.

Mayor of Amasya Mr Cafer Özdemir and his team warmly welcomed the guests from the brotherly countries and extended sincere hospitality.

Participants of the event visited various historic and cultural sites of Amasya.
