PABSEC held meeting of Secretaries General

The meeting of the Secretaries General of the member parliaments of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) with participation of the Secretaries General of the inter-parliamentary organizations having an observer status in the PABSEC took place on 6 February 2017 in Istanbul. The main topic of the meeting was "Cooperation between Parliamentary Assemblies and challenges for the countries of the Black Sea region".
TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Fuad Alakbarov took part in the meeting and made a speech on the basic aspects of cooperation between the two organizations within the framework of TURKPAs observer status in the PABSEC.

Fuad Alakbarov also briefed participants about TurkPA activities. Deputy Secretary General expressed TurkPAs readiness for further cooperation with the PABSEC in the field of transport, as both the Turkic countries and Black Sea region occupy essential part of the ancient Silk Way route and institutionalized cooperation would facilitate the use of transport-transit potential of the countries.
