Statement of the TurkPA Secretariat on the latest events happening in the Republic of Turkey
Data: 19.07.2016 | E-mail | Print |Share with Social network:
The world community is seriously concerned and appalled by the events that took place in the Republic of Turkey on 15 July 2016. The nation and the state of Turkey have demonstrated unity and solidarity against the coup attempt by a group of people aimed at overthrowing the government democratically elected by the people of Turkey.

The plotters who attempted to hijack the independence, sovereignty and honour of the Republic of Turkey have faced the will of the Turkish people. The effort to change the democratic path chosen by the Turkish people through the coup attempt is not acceptable.

The Secretariat’s concern was particularly deepened with the fact that one of the founding parliaments of TurkPA, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and its members were attacked in the course of the events.

The TurkPA Secretariat strongly condemns all forms of such incidents and expresses its condolences on the occasion of the death of the Turkish citizens and law enforcement officers, wishing their grieving families patience and steadiness.
