Secretary General addressed OSCE Permanent Council

Upon the invitation of the current OSCE Serbian Chairmanship, Secretary General Jandos Asanov attended the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council held on 23 July 2015. Alongside, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ramil Hasanov was also invited by the Serbian Chairmanship to address the OSCE Permanent Council.

The TurkPA Secretary General informed members of the Permanent Council on TURKPA’s latest activities, its future tasks and objectives as well as emphasized that TURKPA intends to maintain close dialogue with the OSCE and its institutions, focusing on the issues of mutual interest. The speaker also said that as a parliamentary dimension of Turkic cooperation, the Assembly shares with the OSCE the same goals and principles aimed at ensuring stability and sustainable development in the member-countries.

Within the framework of his visit to Vienna Secretary General had the opportunity to meet and talk to the Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council Ambassador Vuk Žugić, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Galib Israfilov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ermek Ibraimov, Ambassador of Luxembourg/ Head of EU delegation to OSCE PC Mr. Hubert Wurth, official representative of Kazakhstan, Turkey, the Russian Federation, Germany and the United States.
