TURKPA observation mission held press conference on parliamentary elections in Turkey

On 8 June 2015, TURKPA international observers’ mission led by Mr. Nizami Jafarov, member of the Milli Mejlis, gave the press conference on conclusions of its short-term monitoring of the parliamentary elections held in Turkey on 7 June 2015.

Mr. Jafarov informed Turkish mass media on the activities of the mission during election day and briefed on the mission’s meetings with Turkish officials before 7 June. The statement of the TURKPA observers also reflected assessments of the election environment and voting process at the polling stations of Ankara.

TURKPA international observers’ mission concluded that the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Turkey on 7 June 2015 were held in compliance with the national legislation of Turkey and international democratic standards.
