Foreign Minister and Chairman of CEC of Kazakhstan met with TURKPA observers

On 24 April 2015, TURKPA observers’ mission was received by Mr. Erlan Idrisov, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, Mr. Chingiz Ganizade, head of the mission briefed Kazakh minister on the principles of election observation conducted under the TURKPA aegis. Mr. Idrisov presented short information on the preparations for elections and also emphasized that all necessary conditions have been provided for international election observation.

On the same day, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Mr. Kuandyk Turgankulov held meeting with observers. Mr. Turgankulov informed members of the mission on the latest developments in the legal framework for elections and outlined basic principles of the work of the Central Election Commission during election period. The observers emphasized progress made towards improvement of election legislation in Kazakhstan and informed Mr. Turgankulov on legal cooperation of the member countries in the TURKPA’s framework.
