Joint seminar with PACE held in Istanbul

On 26 and 27 March 2015, Seminar on Elected Bodies: Transparency of Functioning and Accountability was organized by the PACE in cooperation with TURKPA and hosted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Istanbul.

The main aim of the seminar was to raise awareness among MPs on on available tools to increase effectiveness of functioning of elected representatives institutions.

On the first session of the seminar Secretary General Jandos Asanov outlined TURKPA activities on good governance.

On the sidelines of the seminar, Secretary General met with Mr. Haluk Koç, Chairperson of the PACE Commettee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs, member of the Parliament of Turkey, Ms. Ülker Güzel, member of TURKPA and member of Turkish Parliament, Mr. Ali Huseynli, member of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, the Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Mr. Wojciech Sawicki, Secretary General of PACE and presented them souvenirs on behalf of TURKPA.
