Fourth Media Forum of Turkic speaking countries and communities was held

TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Kurşad Melih Sarıarslan attended the Forth Media Forum of Turkic Speaking Countries and Communities held on 15-17 November 2014 in Girne (TRNC). The event was organized under the auspices of the Directorate General of Press and Information of the Republic of Turkey.

Mr.Cemil Çiçek, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Mr. Bülent Arınc, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey attended the Forum. Mr.Cemil Çiçek delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Forum. Mr. Çiçek stressed the importance of institutionalized multilateral cooperation among Turkic-speaking states and underlined the role of mass media communications in providing unimpeded information flows among the Turkic states that contributes to further development of relationships among them.

The event was also attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations, academicians and politicians from Turkic Speaking countries and communities.
