4th Baku Forum dedicated one of its sessions to Turkic cooperation
The 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue titled "Advancing Intercultural Dialogue: New Avenues for Human Security, Peace and Sustainable Development" held on 5-6 May, 2017 at the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku devoted one of its sessions to Turkic cooperation. A round table on the theme “Turkic Heritage at the Crossroads of Cultures and Civilizations” was organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and chaired by the Foundation’s Chairperson Ms Gunay Afandiyeva.
President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on the theme "Advancing Intercultural Dialogue: New Avenues for Human Security, Peace and Sustainable Development" at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The forum is organized in cooperation with UNESCO, the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the UN World Tourism Organization (WTO), the Council of Europe, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the North-South Center of the Council of Europe.
Turkish parliamentarians visited TurkPA Secretariat
Within the framework of participation in the PABSEC meeting in Baku, a group of the members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) paid visit to the TurkPA Secretariat. TurkPA Secretary General Jandos Asanov held meeting with the GNAT delegation and gave information about activities of TurkPA. Alongside, Deputy Chairman of the TurkPA Commission on Environment and Natural Resources, MP from Istanbul Mr. Feyzullah Kıyıklık, made a short speech on vision of future cooperation in Turkic world.
TurkPA Secretary General visited the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi
On 20 April 2017, TurkPA Secretary General for the second time visited the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.

The Secretary General was widely informed on the manuscripts of the famous representatives of the Azerbaijani literature, as well as their life and creativity.
TurkPA positively assesses the constitutional referendum in Turkey
‘’Referendum on the amendments into the Constitution in the Republic of Turkey was held in compliance with the national legislation of Turkey and international standards’’, said member of the TurkPA observers delegation, member of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Mr. Ahliman Amiraslanov at the press conference dedicated to the outcome of the nation-wide referendum held on 16th April, 2017 on the proposed changes into the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey.

The members of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Mr Ahliman Amiraslanov and Aghalar Veliev, representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Senator Manap Kobenov and member of Majilis (Lower House) Bekbolat Tleukhan and member of the Joghorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Kaldarbek Baimuratov within the international observer mission of TurkPA started short-term monitoring of the nation-wide referendum on the proposed constitutional changes being held in the Republic of Turkey on 16th April.
Meeting at the Osh State University
Secretary General Mr. Jandos Asanov and Deputy Secretary General Mr.Altynbek Mamaiusupov during their visit to the Kyrgyz Republic met with Mr. Kanybek Isakov - Rector of the Osh State University and gave a speech to the professors and students of the university.
